2025 Jogathon & Holi Celebration

In 2024, our Gecko Nation surpassed our goal of $100,000 and raised over $115,000! Our goal this year is to raise at least $100,000, but it would be amazing to reach last year’s number! And if we reach $75,000, Principal Fuhrer will get slimed again! We will also hold our third Holi celebration during Jogathon. Read below to learn more about Jogathon and Holi!

What is the Grant Jogathon?
An opportunity for our students to actively participate in fundraising for our awesome school! Each student will need to have a fundraising page created. Students and their families help fundraise by reaching out to people in their community. The students will then run/walk/move their bodies to show their support for our beloved Grant Elementary. All students who create a fundraising page will be entered into a drawing to win a prize! The top fundraiser within each grade will also receive a prize!
What are we fundraising for?
Grant PTA helps pay for a large list of things for our school. A few items the Jogathon will help pay for:
- Grant’s Learning Garden
- Grant’s STEAM Expo
- Classroom Instructional Supplies for ALL Students
- Gecko Academy After School Enrichment Program

We recommend you register + personalize your child’s fundraising page from a desktop for increased ease!! Once you are done it is easy to then use the mobile site to share your child’s page via emails, text or social media.
Jogathon + Holi Celebration
Since our Jogathon tends to align with the Hindu festival Holi, it has become tradition to celebrate them together! Holi is an important Hindu festival celebrated as the Festival of Colors, Love and Spring. We will be celebrating with traditional Hindu dancing and a color throw before the kids run in the Jogathon.
Jogathon + Fire Relief
Within our last general PTA meeting a vote was held and passed to donate up to 10% of the funds that we raise from this Jogathon toward relief aid for those affected by the LA fires this past January. The organization that was voted on was The Boys & Girls Club of Santa Monica because can provide direct assistance to those in need within our community
