Events hosted by members of the Grant community
What are Gecko Gatherings?
These are events hosted by Grant families designed to bring together the community for unique experiences while fundraising on behalf of the school. Events can range from adults-only to those for the whole family.
How do they raise money?
Gecko Gatherings are sponsored and paid for entirely by host families (or shared between multiple families). Each event has a requested per person or per family donation.
100% of ALL proceeds from the event donations goes right back to Grant to support our teachers & programming for our kiddos!
Want to host a Gecko Gatherings but need an idea? Ideas to get started below:
- Clothing Swap, Shop & Sip — clothing swap + appetizers & wine tasting
- Paint & Sip Night at PaintLab or Magical Atelier
- Beadah’s (or other) jewelry making event
- Glitter Rainbow Hair Don’t Care! (Salon-hosted hair be-dazzle event — ex. at Venice Beauty Bar)
- Fancy dinner, Wine & Dine, hosted at a family’s house/event space
- Winter party at a family’s home (fake snow! crafts! pics with holiday/snow characters!)
- Moms/Dads/Family hike + lunch
- Karaoke + BBQ night
- Barre/Breathwork + Brunch
- Dia de los Muertos kids event – flower garland making, etc
- Tequila + Mezcal Tasting
- St. Patty’s day family crafting party
- Friendship bracelet (TS!) making party
- ….anything you can dream up!
